Los Angeles retro pop singer Mayer Hawthorne gets his lounge on on a very special remake of Chromeo’s funktastic “When The Night Falls.” The falsetto-happy Hawthorne tones things down a few notches to create a glowing jazz pop joint that is just perfect for the hot, lazy days of summer. Hawthorne is currently putting the final touches on his new album “How Do You Do.” The VHS-yanked video for his new single “A Long Time” was released this week and includes another nod to his upbringing with images from an old ’80s Detroit public access dance show.
