APPLE’S NEW BEATS STREAMING SERVICE WILL BE CHEAPER THAN SPOTIFY AND TIDAL

The music streaming war is getting extremely interesting. With the newest version of the Beats-powered Apple Music set to premiere in July, details of the service have leaked ahead of schedule. “Apple Music” will look to engage users with heavy social network integration such as artist pages with post track samples, photos, videos and concert updates — an aspect which has yet to be seen in products offered by other competitors.

What’s more interesting about Apple Music is that they plan to undercut their competitors by offering their services for dirt cheap. Apple Music will be priced between $5 USD to $8 USD per month, a number much lower than rival streaming services TIDAL, Spotify and Pandora.

According to 9to5mac.com, Artists Activity will be a core feature of the “Apple Music” streaming service, but users will actually be able to disable it in the Restrictions Settings panel in iOS 8.4.

Accidentally leaked in the latest iOS 8.4 beta for developers, the Restrictions menu has an “Artist Activity” switch, which sources say corresponds directly to the aforementioned Ping-like functionality. The network will be available across the iOS, Android, and Mac versions of “Apple Music.”
