The Liquid S2 features a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, a 1,920x,080 display, a 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and runs on Android 4.2.2. The base phone has 16GB of storage, expandable up to 128GB.
The camera is notable in that it shoots detailed 4K video, which is the next generation of ultra high definition video. It is the first smartphone to shoot 4K video. Unfortunately, you can’t watch the video in 4K. You’ll need a 4K TV set for that, and those are still in the early stages of development.
The Liquid S2 also has Acer’s Float user interface, which allows users to have several apps open at once.
The Liquid S2 will be available at the end of October in red or black. No pricing has been released.
