Jermaine Dupri is the latest guest we’ve shared a hot minute with, this time at last night’s Fashion x Sports Tech presentation. Surrounded by a crowd of techies and fashion people, the legendary hip-hop producer gave us a short and sweet interview about his upcoming project.
So what brings you here today?
Well I just started my own social network called Global 14. I’m planning on doing a three day event like Sundance Festival for my community of over 50,000 people. So it’s big enough to do it’s own city-wide event. I just wanted to do a little research here; I’m planning on doing an event like this. And also just to see what other people in tech are into. And I mean, this is a cool event. I’m excited to meet the CEO of Intel.
Are you excited to see De La Soul?
I didn’t even know they were going to be here! But yeah, that’s going to be a lot of fun.
Are you going to see any of the Made FW shows this week?
No I’m actually working, I have a lot of events I have to go to this week. I did a JBL event yesterday, so I’m actually out here working.
