Netflix has signed a deal with Comcast in a big move that will allow web streaming on the latter’s X1 platform. “Comcast and Netflix have reached an agreement to incorporate Netflix into X1, providing seamless access to the great content offered by both companies. We have much work to do before the service will be available to consumers later this year. We’ll provide more details at that time.” Netflix already has deals with Apple, Roki and Google’s Chromecast, while the service is also embedded into a variety of smart televisions. This particular deal will likely work similarly, allow Netflix to display its app in the set-top cable box so watchers can quickly and conveniently change from cable to streaming.
