Usher Joins Martin Garrix on Soaring New Single ‘Don’t Look Down’

On Tuesday (March 17), Martin Garrix released “Don’t Look Down,” his collaboration with Usher and first serious bid for a pop crossover since breakout hit “Animals.”

The young Dutch artist takes a page from David Guetta‘s playbook on the new single, ditching the harder-edged trappings of festival house for cheery guitar-backed verses and a softer melodic lead for radio airplay. Usher contributes a signature soaring chorus and full-throated whoa-oh refrains to seal Garrix’s first true pop single.
