Peyton Manning preparing to play in 2015

Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning is reportedly getting set to play in 2015.

The 38-year-old Manning is preparing as if he will suit up in the coming season, Jeff Duncan of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reported Monday.

Per the Times-Picayune, Manning will begin working with trainer Mackie Shilstone in New Orleans this week.

Manning threw for 4,727 yards with 39 touchdowns and 15 interceptions in 2014, connecting on 66.2 percent of his throws. However, his arm strength waned toward season’s end, and he reportedly battled leg injuries down the stretch. Manning struggled mightily in Denver’s divisional-round loss to Indianapolis in January, completing 26-of-46 passes for a paltry 211 yards.

The Denver Post reported in January that Manning intended to play in 2015, assuming he passed the club physical.

Since joining Denver in 2012, Manning has thrown for 14,863 yards with 131 TDs and 36 interceptions in regular-season play. However, the Broncos are just 2-3 in his postseason starts.
