In the legal documents obtained by TMZ, Prince claims he has received a grand total of $2 million from Cash Money for introducing the label to Drake. However, with reports suggesting Drake has earned Cash Money as much as $40 million, Prince clearly feels like he’s being stiffed on millions of dollars in royalties.
In a lawsuit from 2012, Prince claimed Lil Wayne’s manager, Cortez Bryant, agreed to pay him 22 percent of Aspire’s share of profits, 22 percent of Aspire’s ownership share of Drake’s master recordings and 5 percent of Drake’s gross pay (Aspire is a company owned by Bryant who signed Drake alongside Cash Money and Young Money in 2009).
The news comes just days after Jas Prince’s father, Rap-A-Lot Records founder James Prince, released a diss song message aimed at Lil Wayne, Cortez Bryant, Birdman, Slim and Diddy for their ill treatment of Drake.
