From rapper to restaurateur.
Looking for a restaurant where you can have whatever you like? T.I. will soon have you covered. The Atlanta rapper is opening his own restaurant in the former Vibe space on Ivan Allen Jr. Boulevard.
Details are scarce at the moment, but the restaurant will apparently offer upscale Southern cuisineand open for lunch and dinner. The team behind this new venture is hoping for a March 1 launch.
“Historic Downtown Atlanta will be home to T.I.’s first restaurant venture,” reads a brief release. “The renovation and refurbishing process of the landmark property is well underway, as plans for the new upscale Southern cuisine restaurant unfolds. An official announcement, sharing complete details, is planned for the coming weeks.”
It sounds like a fairly fancy establishment, so don’t expect to go crazy and be poppin’ bottles at dinner. Hopefully, the restaurant will take care to offer well-prepared dishes and not just be about the money. No word yet on whether the bar will feature Patron on ice.
