This film explores society, cruelty and isolation through the eyes of Lester Ballard, an outcast from Tennessee who sinks deeper and deeper into crime and violence as he strives to exist outside the norm. The film stars Texas actor Scott Haze as Ballard and was both written and directed by James Franco.
