WHAT DO YALL THINK,IS THIS WHAT NEEDED TO HAPPEN,OR HAVE THESE SHOWS JUST LOST IT PERIOD ?

Randy Jackson Leaving American Idol

After 12 years, Randy Jackson is leaving “American Idol,” the longtime judge told E! News.

After more than a decade of “pitchy” comments and “yo, dawg’s,” Jackson is leaving quite an “Idol” legacy behind.

“Yo! Yo! Yo! To put all of the speculation to the rest, after 12 years of judging on ‘American Idol’ I have decided it is time to leave after this season,” he said in a statement on Thursday, according to E! “I am very proud of how we forever changed television and the music industry. It’s been a life changing opportunity but I am looking forward to focusing on my company Dream Merchant 21 and other business ventures.”

Jackson’s departure from “American Idol” doesn’t come as much of a surprise. Earlier on Thursday, The Wrap reported that all four judges would be leaving the series.

“All four are gone,” an insider told The Wrap. “They feel they’ve lost their core audience and they want it back.”

“American Idol” airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.

  1. The show has run its course.

  2. The Voice (uk) or anywhere, where image is not important at first is where it’s at. Frankly speaking, i can’t see most of idol stars sing as well in The Voice any where really.

  3. Nicki killed that show this season. Mariah did too but it definitely much more Nicki’s fault. My mother and sister didn’t like neither of them on the show. AI is still one of the most watched shows on TV even after the rating drop. So it’s not going anywhere anytime soon. Even though I like The Voice better, it hasn’t produced any stars yet. So right now, the only reason why a singer would go on there is for promotion only. It’s something about AI and XFactor where you feel you can find that raw talent that makes it better than The Voice. People have the chance to improve which you really don’t have on The Voice. The one singing show I like the most now is SBS KPop Star out of South Korean. It’s like the Top 3 labels heads audition people and then they cast contestants in various rounds and they go train at the companies from a week to a month depending on the round. They form groups like on X-Factor but it’s much more intense. The groups have full choreography along with singing because that’s all part of KPop. It’s like a competition between the contestants and the labels because most of the time the contestants spend at least one round with each label. Also the judges are really critical of the contestants. Critical like a musical teacher or vocal coach would be critical. So the singer might sound awesome to the public but the judges be saying shit like your voice wasn’t open when you hit that high note and you was behind half beat with the choreography. Only shit a professional would pick up. The winner of the show gets to pick which company he wants to join.

  4. Its Time for his change!
