This is an interesting piece i got off DabsMyla.com,about a documentary on Netflix ‘MAGIC TRIP’. A rad film about something we have referenced a fair few times in our art work…the Merry Prankster’s ‘FURTHUR’ bus. It uses a lot of the 16mm color footage shot by Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters during their 1964 cross-country bus trip with the insane Neal Cassidy behind the wheel.
While watching we came up with a concept based on Timothy Leary’s quote ‘TURN ON, TUNE IN, DROP OUT.’ But related it to most peoples path to becoming a graffiti writer – opening your eyes, learning the craft and dropping out of society to push the limitations and boundaries of your style.
