  1. Unfortunately I was there, we bypassed on the elevators. They were having a great time. We had an event came back at 4:00am, and it was Chaos! The air was so thick you could cut it with a knife. Still have nightmares, Still can’t believe it, My heart is hurting for her Fiance and Little Girl.

    She was celebrating her birthday, the other young lady was celebrating passing her Bar Exam. They were so beautiful, so full of life, checked into a Hotel to have a safe celebration,
    and end up dead & critically injured

    My question is why is single pane glass being used in a 20 story building?
    Why wasn’t the glass tempered like Windshields on Cars?

    It is unnerving to view your video and find out that they tore that hotel apart 5 years ago, and with the vibration of construction, and redesign, it takes no rocket science to figure out that the glass in all those window is stressed. It should take a Mack Truck to break that window! Not 2 120 Ib Models!

  3. I feel like we can go on forever wondering why this happened . One of her girlfriends that was in the room said they didn’t even hit the window that hard, LaShawna was a very happy person this was one tragic day, however she had 30 good years and if you are a person of faith no one of us knows how long we will be here and her sprirt still lives in all of her friends. Her daughter and brother were even able to smile at times at the funeral when memories were shared . She still lives .

  4. I still can’t believe this happened. That pane is too close to the floor for two adults who are standing to fall through. The bar should have stopped adults who are standing. I could see a standing three or four year old falling through the bottom pane but two adults at the same time? It just don’t seem possible. To me, it looks like someone broke out that bottom pane, and through them out one at a time. I’m sorry but that is the thought that came to mind after I watched this footage. This is only one opinion and it’s mine. Sorry.

  6. @Khadija, I don’t know if secrets are being kept or not. Sometimes you can’t believe everything you hear and things you see really isn’t the way they appear. The footage just made me think that something else happened. The way the measuring were done, it just looked impossible with the way that one long piece of glass was sticking out toward the middle of the pane. It seems like the break would have been in a large circular pattern. I just feel for the daughter. Like JD posted, THIS IS STILL HARD FOR ME TO BELIEVE.

  7. Well the Cochran Firm will have to go over and try to explan all that , whatever we conclude on our own is just us blowing hot air . Her daughter Imonee will be just fine thanks for caring, she luckily has many Sister and Maternal figures in her life and she is aware of the fact her mothers Sprit lives.

  8. This is just sad all around. Celebrations should never end this way. One thing Ross is good at, it getting to the bottom of things like this. He did it in the dmv area, he’ll do it there as well. Something just isn’t right about that story for 2 females to fall through that easily…just not right.

  9. This is crazy.The bottom window got me wondering.Sad and tragic none the lees.I guess that’s why they name them freak accidents.
