Fab 5 Freddy at MOCA “Art in the Streets”

I NEED TO GO TO THIS

Fab 5 Freddy’s reputation precedes him as a hip-hop pioneer and former graffiti artist. Known amongst his peers for graffiti “bombing” trains, Freddy’s deep roots in art was exemplified as he went on to curate many art shows featuring the works of legendary artists such as Futura 2000, Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Rammellzee. Fab 5 also produced the seminal film Wild Style, which showcased the cultural scene of the Bronx. The recent gallery pays homage to Fab 5 Freddy’s expansive legacy, featuring Wild Style memorabilia and an array of photographs throughout the years.
