  6. This is going to interesting! It seems as tho yall was looking at it as who dominated the rap game in sales, popularity etc. Not really meaning who killing it lyrically. So that def switches things up a bit, we all know Gucci aint talking bout a damn thing BUT you can’t deny that he was dominating the airwaves, the clubs etc. You didn’t go no where and Not here a Gucci track, as well as Wayne and Drake. So if they talking about it in that sense then it changes things. Ima definitely be tuning in to that to see the final names. Thats a hard hard decision….

    Jay-z (big sales…amazing lyrics…icon status…mogul)
    Eminem (big sales…amazing lyrics…huge impact on culture being white in a non white dominated genre)
    Kanye West (big sales…amazing lyrics…huge impact in merging genres and bringing people of all ages and races to be apart of his music)
    Lil Wayne (big sales…great wordplay….work-a-holic…becoming an icon)
    Kid Cudi (solid sales…probably the most universal lyrics that appeal to everyone and not limited to race or social status…most successful socially conscious rapper of the 21st…extremely creative and more poetic than any other rapper)
    T.I. (big sales….huge collaborations….chart topping hits… consistently improving lyrics)
    Outkast (big sales….huge cross genre fanbase….chart topping hits…creative)
    Nelly (big sales…massive hits…dominated rap… good lyrically…able to successful cross genres … works well in the R&B sphere…made tons of money)
    Rick Ross (consistent platinum albums in a tough sales climate… continually improving lyrically….creating a very good body of work…able to paint pictures with lyrics…smooth delivery)
    Last spot is tough (LUDA JEEZY OR FABOLOUS come to mind)

  13. Eminem, Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Kayne, Lil Wayne, T.I, Young Jeezy, Ludacris, Nelly, Outcast. That’s pretty much in order but you can change a few spots. I think people are bias against Eminem because he is white and the fact that his songs only work for him. Eminem got a Grammy and an Oscar. That shit alone makes him #1 then he has out sold everybody else on the list.

    50 Cent won that Rick Ross battle but he didn’t destroy Ross’ career like he did Ja Rule and Fat Joe. The main reason is because Ross is from the South and the South don’t give a fuck about NY niggas talking shit about us because they always talked shit about us.
