Remix Albums aren’t what they used to be. I expected a few guys in a smokey back room playing over Jay-Z’s lyrics with some liquor in their glasses. I heard a shrill horn playing over Blueprint 3. I’m all for good music and a good remix album but this wasn’t very good in my opinion. If you’re going to remix an album, I don’t want to hear any of the original beats. But that’s just me.
I don’t understand what you are saying. Most of the hip hop records that you love are samples. You sound like my Daddy talking about “These young cats can’t make anything original” What’s the difference. Some records are GREAT records as far as the production but the lyrics contains lots of negative stuff, so this kind of album gives you a choice. These stuff is REAL popular for people that love HIP HOP and JAZZ. Like I said, are they remaking the record, or the SAMPLE that was used to make the record?
Where did that horn playing over Blueprint 3 come from? I bet you don’t even know? I bet you liked the way JD used that JZ Blueprint sample for Anthony Hamilton also don’t you? So JD Sampled a song that contained a sample…….. It’s called Hip Hop…….. Buy the album son!
