  1. YES, I saw this month’s ago!! I think alot of people should watch this…I don’t even look at corn the same! IF you haven’t already check out the Vegetarian Starter Kit on the PETA website…it’s free. I do want to go VEGAN eventually….i’m with you all the way!

  2. Just watched the oscar nominated “FOOD, inc.” very powerful documentary! I am about to empty out my fridge and go shopping tomorrow after work. Nothing but organic and locally farmed food for me and my family from this day forth!

  3. Ya seen it already.. very revealing.

  4. Haven’t seen it yet.. Being raise in the city yet county at heart i’ve never ate much meat & have always prefer vegetables over meats. About to get a peta starter kit…

  5. i havent been able to finish this movie cause im not ready to give up shitty food yet.

  6. read the omnivores dilema about 4 years ago. that put me on to the corn game. I am a country boy and I have been seeing this for years growing up on and around farms( turkey, pig and cattle).

  7. what’s the deal with corn?? I stopped eating pork and beef last year before Thanksgiving. I don’t even miss it. I’ve been buying turkey bacon, sausage etc. Eating chicken and fish.

  8. havent seen it yet and really aint interested to watch it. im not ready ready give up all da good ass food that aint good for me im only 20. but i stop eatin pork and beef bout 2 years ago though.

  9. i jus came from mc donalds lol

  10. JD THIS IS A SIDE BAR ” YOU ARE RICH RIGHT? I ASSURE YOU IF YOU OWNED YOUR OWN FARM AND RISE YOUR OWN CATTLE YOU WILL EAT MEAT AGAIN”…… http://www.metrobrokers.com/cory.rowland

  11. Um don’t think I could watch if it’s that bad only cause I can’t give up Mc Donalds and all them other foods when they say It will kill you then I will stop other than that hell to the no!

  12. Hey J. Dupri how are you doing? Man I seen this about a 16 months ago and it wasnt nothing that I didnt know about our food. Ive been a vegetarian for about 2 years and every since I became one I dont get sick I dont catch colds and my body feels great. So thanks for posting this and maybe we can wake up everyone else in the world about the meat that they eat………. PEACE JD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. Videos like this one make me extremely happy to be studying in agriculture because knowing what you are eating is extremely important! For me I think it is the base of everything! It also makes me happy not be living the US, although those companies are pretty much everywhere in the developed world. It makes me wanna go home to the motherland where I used to know for sure what was in my food and where processed food wasn’t in the picture.

I think getting to know your farmer and buying directly from them is the best choice one could make. Community-Supported agriculture (CSA) is a good way to do so, as is buying food at local farmers market. And that for me is good both for meat and vegetables.

  14. Aw shit, I saw a preview of this movie. I’m scared to watch the whole thing because I don’t want to give up meat yet. I never eat pork, rarely eat beef but I know I should cut it all out I just love food too much. I hit Trader Joe’s and farmers markets when I can for organic foods (which is not as expensive as most people think) though not as often as I should.

Now that I think about it I eat meat almost every day. I don’t want to know what my insides look like. Yuck!

  15. Good look on that documentary JD. Its fucked up how the industry is in so many ways not just music

  16. JD-
I am eating some veggie spaghetti right now!

  17. Yep I saw this doc too after watch the Oprah show. Ignorance may be bliss but it ain’t good for you and can kill you. When they showed how bacteria-killing filler is added to hamburger meat, fucked me up. I don’t eat beef often but now every time I think about rolling thru Wendy’s for my fav #1 value meal I opt for something else.

What’s even worse is how the farmers are fucked over. And if those farmers in the doc are being cheated out of ever paying off their debts just think how black farmers deal. Hell do black farmers exist (sarcasm)? This is definitely a life changing, thought provoking documentary. A MUST SEE! A MUST HAVE!

Janet’s vegan, you’re now vegan, a couple of actress friends of mine, I’d love to know how many Blacks are vegan. Eating certain foods is so much a part of culture it’s hard to change generations of wrong thinking and bad eating habits.
