2010 VH1 Hip Hop Honors: The Dirty South

VH1′s hugely successful annual tribute to the force that is hip hop music, culture and influence returns in June for a seventh time with VH1 Hip Hop Honors: The Dirty South.
The show will celebrate The Dirty South and the honorees who infused the southern story into hip hop’s global message.
Jermaine Dupri, J Prince of Rap-A-Lot Records, Luther “Luke” Campbell AND 2 Live Crew, Organized Noize, and Master P are being recognized through performances in collaboration with some of today’s hottest talent.
Always one of the premiere hip hop events of the year, in addition to featuring amazing performances, VH1 Hip Hop Honors: The Dirty South will explore the rich hip hop history of the region through music, dance and language.
Last year’s edition was the highest-rated VH1 Hip Hop Honors yet. VH1 Hip Hop Honors 2010 will tape from NYC’s Hammerstein Ballroom and air on VH1 on Monday, June 7 at 9:00 PM ET/PT.

Man its about time we get recognized on hip-hop honors. I grew up on SoSo Def. JD has been the soundtrack of my whole life going back 2 kris kross (yea I wore my clothes backwards 2 lol). Growing up in Houston all we had was Rap-a-lot 4 a while til Screw & Michael 5000 watts changed the game. JD I’m so proud of what u’ve accomplished. Thank you 4 laying down the foundation & blueprint 4 us 2 follow.

Oh yeah!!! It’s about fucking time you got your recognigtion!!! But I don’t think you should be put in just dirty south, you should have been honored before this. You’ve done more than southern joints.
