  8. what’s up JD, you are right because today, everything revolves around social networking and blogging site. If your albums is not creating buzz on social networking site which is basically ran by us, the consumers who but the album, then it will not do that well and that is the bottom line. all bloggers should have topic on the sites that our that today’s topics that our generation can relate to. But thats whats up big homie, keep doing your thing and I will continue to follow you!

  9. U THE BEST!
MAN RAP ON MY ALBUM 😉
    TURKISDH RNB/POP 😉

  10. I am so glad I stumble across your youtube blogs when I did. You are truly an inspiration. You make smart moves and that’s why you’ve been in the game and been very successful. I’ve seen other producers and stars rise and fall to rise and fall again. However, you seem to keep a steady success stream. Your name and work of art and accomplishments have always been present. I mean, for example; I remember turning on the radio and TV and or walking down the street and hearing songs and artist you produced bumpin in cars and walking pass bar-b-Q parties and hearing more of what you’ve produced and rapped. For like a whole fucking season or better yet, a whole year of JD’s work. And it was great stuff. It’s stuff you can pop in your cd player today and still be like…this is my shit right here. To have something to be a “was” to a “still is” is rare among music these days. And all I got to say is that you got it. You are the “IT” factor. Thanks for all you’ve done. Thanks for all you share. And keep it coming.

  11. That’s why you da man JD. I plan to check it out.

  12. First, JD.. I wish you the best as the keynote speaker for BlogWorld Expo. Blogging is good. Great way to network..but also, you have to be oh-so careful that you are not just catering to bloggers who like you. You must attract a diversified group of bloggers on your network. A Diversified Group will give you a more accurate view about your blog topic. Catering to your own, will only give you the average feedback that you want to see… but JD you know the best feedback is what you do not want to hear… Negative Feedback …. to me is the best…. It helps you improve your Game.

if you want to be worldwide you must promote a worldwide passion. For example, Network blogging to diversified groups, getting their opinions, and finding ways to attract them to convert to whatever you are marketing should be the vision. When you start seeing the transformation of a diversified group toward whatever you are marketing, then you will know your blogging is effective and affecting others to convert. U will be on the way to becoming known WorldWide….

  13. JD’S SMART LOL… HE CLEARLY THINKS ALOT MORE THEN OTHER PPL IN DA INDUSTRY! THE WAY HE SPEAK SHOWS Y HE IS SO SUCCESSFUL!! WHOOOOO JD!

  14. JD, you are right… new media is taking over and people need to stop resisting and embrace all forms of the new media. The youth of today are savvy when it comes to embracing all new forms of media and technology and they are the consumers of today and the future.

  15. 21. Get it, JD. It’s great to see how the use of media is playing out for you. Big ups to Dondria. Wish you guys much success.

Wish I could be in Vegas to see how the use of blogs and new media will be contributing to business.

  22. J YOU REALLY KNOW YOUR SHIT WHEN IT COMES TO MARKETING AND SOCIAL NETWORKING AND ALL THE INTERNET SHIT! AGAIN YOU HAVE INSPIRED ME!

  23. U THE MAN JD! Go hard!

  24. Hey JD! I hope you post your speech @ blogworld. I REALLY want to see it. I’ve been blogging a minute, Hollywood As I Live & Work is my baby. Thanks for compliment u sent on Twitter. For me getting ppl to comment is hard as FK. Like you I create original content. And yeah, I’m on Twitter and the like but still no comments. I NEED A TEAM or asst like you. MAD PROPS TY! I shoot, edit, post, and still work but I lack the energy and time to REALLY promote. So I take precious time to come here and vent when I should be doing email marketing LOL. Get some Interns right! It’s hard to find dedicate ppl to work freely who are passionate about working in the industry and can WRITE or EDIT VIDEOS. So I work solo but it’s killing me.

Hollywood As I Live & Work started simply to share my Hollywood experiences with friends and fam. But I was too shy to be on camera. And I didn’t want to get caught up in “girly” shit worrying about looks. So somehow I got caught up in trying to be a media outlet which is what most blogs have become. I’ve worked in news and you can’t do it alone. So I’m rethinking my purpose. I work HARD as hell on these videos for free but the celebs and orgs I feature won’t even link to the content on their sites or social profiles but keep asking me to cover shit. Blk Hollywood esp is damn clueless how the internet REALLY works. I meet more fake ass publicists who are clueless how to use Twitter, blogs, FB to REALLY promote and support clients. I offer to help and they act as if they already know but REALLY don’t.

Second I REFUSE to do Hollywood gossip. I work too close with entertainers to diss them and then have the audacity to ask for exclusive interviews. I come from a level of respect and that won’t change just for increased traffic. PPL know my face and name here so I’m not gonna sacrifice that trust it’s taken me years to obtain. So basically I’m frustrated. Mind you I still WORK for a living. And the work I’ve put in the blog is not paying off and truly Im giving consideration to shutting it down until I get a team in place.

Anywaaay, this post is too damn long. I could talk for days about social networking. That said I must get back to my social networking clients. Know JD, despite my frustration you’re inspiring me to keep pressing. I’m on the righ track but maybe on the wrong train. LOL. Peace! I’m sharing ur post on Twitter and FB!

  25. OH one more thing. I ain’t changing my name but know I’m supporting you in your efforts! Like Tina Turner, I’ve worked to hard for my blog and twitter name so it’s somewhat branded. Still, when and if I see you in LA or backstage at some event, when I throw my L up, you better throw it back 🙂

  26. its really refreshing to be apart of JD’s movement and see how many “hats” he wears in the world of music. for the general public its exciting to be able to witness the many talents JD has and be able to know whats hot and be able to know the new projects that are being prepaired. that builds the excitement for me personally. THANK YOU JD!!!!! KEEP MOVIN BOSS!!!!!!!

  27. Jermaine I need your help!

DJ Dagwood’s Son is shot and killed in Chicago.
    Deonte’s Memorial Fund

    Deonte Williams (rip)
    July 24, 1986-October 15, 2009

Hello, my name is DJ Dagwood and my son’s name is Deonte Williams and on October 15th 2009 at 3 am his life was cut short due to senseless gun violence on the streets of Chicago’s Southside.

My son suffered 2 fatal gun shot wounds that took his life instantly.

He laid there bleeding to death for an hour before paramedics arrived
and he was pronounced dead on the scene.

My son was 23 years old with 2 small children of his own.

This situation as you know is becoming more common is our inner cities across the nation and has been one of my personal fears as a parent.

No one wants to live to see one their children murdered on the street but it’s a nightmare that is becoming more of a reality these days and times.

My son was a good man and he did his best to provide for his family, help others and be a devoted Christian. He had a love for music and the arts and always expressed his interest in going to college for radio broadcasting.

His dreams are now lost but his memory will live in our hearts forever.
My son will be missed but never forgotten.

Unfortunately we were not prepared for this tragedy and my son did not have life insurance. We are trying to raise money to provide Deonte with proper funeral & burial services.

Our total cost for his arrangements are in excess of $6,055

At this time we are reaching out to companies and corporations that may have a Bereavement fund or may be willing to donate money to our cause.

We are presently working with a funeral home that wont accept payments
and its been very hard to raise these funds amongst friends and family members in such a short period of time.

We need to raise this money by Friday, October 25, 2009 and any help would be appreciated at this time.
