  1. I didn’t catch the show but+ i’m sure it was very informative. NETWORKING IS WHAT’S UP

  2. <3 Ill go with u next year!!!

  3. social networks are great for capturing and seeking a mass appeal but as far as business is concerned people have to be reminded to not loose the personal connect to their product and fan base.

  4. Social networking is taking over, even some schools and workplaces have links to facebook and twitter on their websites…How kool is that?!

  5. wow JD you was in the company of some real deep pockets including yourself. I’msure you learned from them and they learned from you…next go to the next level baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. I LOVE HOW YOU WERE ON YOUR PHONE WHEN THE CNN CORRESPONDENT WAS TALKING TO THAT LADY ABOUT CANCER! THAT SHIT WAS HILARIOUS! YOU KNEW YOU WERE WRONG! LMAO! IM GLAD YOUR DOING THIS SOCIAL MEDIA THING AND HOPEFULLY MANY OTHER MUSICIANS WILL FOLLOW YOUR LEAD. ONE DAY I WANNA GIVE BACK TO MY COMMUNITY DOING THE SAME THING. YOU ONCE AGAIN INSPIRED ME!

  14. This is BIG SHIT! It’s truly amazing… I’m just not with it yet. (Well, I’m not with twitter yet. I canceled my myspace account forever ago and I’m never on my facebook)… I’m holding on strong. I just think that it deludes the traditional way of thinking. Innovation is good but innovation is the blend of old and new aesthetics, not a replacement… We’ll see in due time though.

  15. Ahhh yes, I recall the initial phenomenon of Myspace and then Facebook. They seem so “yesterday” in comparison to Twitter. Demographically speaking, Myspace always seemed to appeal to teenagers. Facebook gives off a more mature vibe, for the 21 and over generation. I fall into the latter category, so my Myspace eventually got deleted and Facebook soon followed. In retrospect, both sites were very high maintenance, it was all about “updating” all the time. My life is too hectic to always update. Twitter on the other hand is simple enough and the best part of it, it’s instant. It’s like a mini blog for you to vent and voice your opinions. You can instantly blog or what we call “Tweet” about anything and everything and share your opinions and interests with the Twitter-world. It’s similar to a chat room or instant messaging, whereas other Tweeters can respond to your tweet and multiple conversations can occur in real time. Twitter appeals to a larger demographic than Myspace and Facebook and that’s because it has the “now factor”, everything is instant. We have come accustomed to a lifestyle of instant and text messaging and Twitter has that familiar feeling to it, like an old friend 🙂

    Deonte Williams (rip)
    July 24, 1986-October 15, 2009

Hello, my name is DJ Dagwood and my son’s name is Deonte Williams and on October 15th 2009 at 3 am his life was cut short due to senseless gun violence on the streets of Chicago’s Southside.

My son suffered 2 fatal gun shot wounds that took his life instantly.

He laid there bleeding to death for an hour before paramedics arrived
and he was pronounced dead on the scene.

My son was 23 years old with 2 small children of his own.

This situation as you know is becoming more common is our inner cities across the nation and has been one of my personal fears as a parent.

No one wants to live to see one their children murdered on the street but it’s a nightmare that is becoming more of a reality these days and times.

My son was a good man and he did his best to provide for his family, help others and be a devoted Christian. He had a love for music and the arts and always expressed his interest in going to college for radio broadcasting.

His dreams are now lost but his memory will live in our hearts forever.
My son will be missed but never forgotten.

Unfortunately we were not prepared for this tragedy and my son did not have life insurance. We are trying to raise money to provide Deonte with proper funeral & burial services.

Our total cost for his arrangements are in excess of $6,055

At this time we are reaching out to companies and corporations that may have a Bereavement fund or may be willing to donate money to our cause.

We are presently working with a funeral home that wont accept payments
and its been very hard to raise these funds amongst friends and family members in such a short period of time.

We need to raise this money by Friday, October 25, 2009 and any help would be appreciated at this time.
