Oh and Spock I saw what you said in that last “Talk to me” hmph! lol

  41. LMFAO @ charlene@LTL/ YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT SOUTHERN RAP IS HUH?

@ darkaqua33/ ME TO MAN, BUT I DO GIVE IT A CHANCE. THE MORE I LISTEN TO IT, THE MORE I FEELING IT, ESPECIALLY THE BEAT. BUT I’M SO ADDICTED TO DANCE/TECHNO MUSIC GROWING UP, IMMA HUGE FAN. JUST TO NAME A FEW, I LIKE (BLACK BOX – EVERYBODY EVERYBODY/ CE CE PENISON – FINALLY/CRYSTAL WALTERS – GYPSY WOMEN (SHE’S HOMELESS)/ROBIN S – SHOW ME LOVE/C&C FACTORY – EVERYBODY DANCE NOW. MANY MORE OF THEM GREAT DANCE TRACKS THAT I LOVE. YOU GOTTA GIVE THESE MUSIC A LISTEN, THEY ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD AMAZING.

I’M ALSO A 90’S R&B FAN. I LOVED EVERY ALBUM FROM EVERYBODY BACK IN THE 90’S. THERE WASN’T ONLY 2 GOOD SONGS ON THE ALBUM LIKE NOW DAYS, ALL THE SONGS ARE PERFECT IN EVERY WAY. NOW DAYS I DON’T REALLY LIKE A LOT OF ARTIST, AND THAT AALISHA KEYS 2004 ALBUM SUCKED LIKE DICK. ALL MOST EVERY ARTIST OUT RIGHT NOW DON’T HAVE A GREAT ALBUM, IT’S VERY BORING AND JUST AVERAGE.

I LIKE 90’S POP. FROM THE BOY BAND DAYS. TODAY’S POP IS WACK NOW. THERE ISN’T ONE GIRL BAND OR BOY BAND THAT ARE GOOD NOW DAYS, THEY WAY TOO BUBBLE GUM POP WITH THEIR MUSIC AND STYLE. I LIKE A MORE SOFT/HARD IN GROUPS THAT DON’T BRING UP SEX ALL THE TIME AND PARTY ALL THE TIME.

    1.Outkast -Aquemini
(defined the definition of “next level” in rap music)

    Outkast-Southernplayalisticadillacmuzi
(proved southern rappers were equipped with word play, and was the basic blueprint for lyricism to aspiring mcs south of the mason Dixon line.)

    4.Jermaine Dupri-1472
(This album is the definition of good music from start to finish.)

    5.Lil Wayne-the carter 3
(when an artist is at the top of his game and has the most anticipated album in years waiting to hit the streets ,the critics are waiting in line with roses to throw on the grave of your rap career if you miss the mark even by inches.Lil Wayne not only hit his target but created a masterpiece and a classic that will stand the test of time.)

    6.Juvenile-400 degrees
(this album was 400 degrees of straight fire)

7.Scarface-(all of his albums are good,he is too the south what Rakim is the north)

8.UGK-(Also all of thier albums.Any artist that can get on a track with Jay Z and hold their own are definitely above average and they are one of the South’s most celebrated legends.)

    9.T.I. ti vs tip
(when they call you the king of the south theirs a reason for that, bought 2 copies of that album.)

    10 Goodie Mob-Soul Food
(this album started a lot of rap trends in the south as far as lyrical styles go.)

Look people a great album has to be 1 of 2 things the be considered great. @ LEAST 4 or more TRACKS that are good on an album and a album that you can listen to from track 1 until it starts over again.

A VERY VERY HONORABLE MENTION IS THE DOPEST SOUTHERN BEAT EVER MADE -SHO NUFF IF YOU THINK OTHERWISE GET @ ME. LOL

BTW I’ll c my name up there on MONDAY LOL.

  91. My list consists mostly of music that I can listen to from beginning to end 5-10 years later and still play it loud with my windows down and feel good about it. There are a couple albums with a flaky song here or there, but the core of the album more than makes up for the weak track or two. There are some good CDs that have come out in the last 2-3 years but that’s too new for me to give them the stamp of classic… with the exception of “UGK for Life”.

    In no particular order:

+Project Pat – Layin’ da Smack Down
    +Playa Fly – Fly Shit
    +OutKast- Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik
    +Goodie Mob – Soul Food

+8 Ball & MJG-On top of the World
+8 Ball & MJG – Comin’ Out Hard
    +TRU-True to the game
+Youngbloodz – toss up between “Against da Grain ” and “Drankin’ Patnaz” One of them is a classic, probably not both… LoL

+++++ maybe Lil Wayne – The Carter 3 will make the list in a year or two******

I ‘m gonna stop now I will give ya’ll some time to check google and wikipedia to learn about some of the names I just dropped.. LoL

  92. On second thought scratch +Da Organization- da organization off the list…. the whole CD was not tight… just a couple good songs.

    8. Goodie Mob – Soul Food
    9. Outkast – Speakerbox/ The Love Below
    10. Scarface – Mr. Scarface is Back

  97. Three main factors matter for an album to be considered the best:
    1. music quality 2. its weight in the streets at time of release 3. soundscan, mainstream, crossover success

You is talkin bout the whole South, no particular southern area. With that said in no particular order:
