ABOUT A MONTH AGO I KEPT GETTING HIT UP ON MY TWITTER ABOUT THIS KID FAMOUS NOT JUST BY HIM BUT OTHERS. SO I TOLD HIM I WOULD POST HIS VIDEO AND LET THE LIFERS DECIDE IF HE WAS SOMEBODY THAT NEEDS TO COME OUT. I WENT TO HIS PAGED AND WATCHED A FEW OF THE VIDEOS AND FOUND HIM SINGING NICE AND SLOW BY USHER,  A SONG I WROTE AND PRODUCED. SO IT’S ONLY RIGHT I POST THAT ONE LOL. ANYWAY LIFERS I NEED YALL TO GIVE ME THE REAL ON THIS LET ME KNOW WHATCHU THINK ?

  5. On this particular vid the sound is distorted on his attempts to power thru some parts but the talent is evident. I think you might have something here. BUT I am eager to see what Tyrone thinks…U know he don’t like nuthin’!!! 😉

  6. I agree with the first post its clear he has talent more than others in the game right now. With some coaching and training on the minimum I think he can lay down some nice vocals or background sing. But he can def sing his azz off. Real Talk

  19. okay so the nice and slow video didn’t quite do it for me… i had to look at some of his other work to see that he does has potential but he needs some training… i feel like his levels of sound are a bit off but that’s nothing that a lil coaching can’t fix… he has a good sound and he can sing, but he just needs a lil touching up… and what’s up with all the faces he makes -whew :(- he might need to work on that too…

  41. I agree with Monica. I think he’s talented, but there is nothing special about him that makes him stand out to me. Plus, he doesn’t seem dedicated enough to make it in the industry, he just lying there singing with no attitude/personality.

  42. Damn, I was afraid I was gonna be the only one who didn’t like him, but the Lifers are keepin it real with you JD. I just feel like his voice isn’t that strong. And if it ever got stronger, we’d have some serious image issues. I just think you would have to put a lot of work into him and don’t want you to be disappointed if you don’t get a return on your investment.

  52. Wow took a while for his vid to be posted. I remember the twitter day when he was getting at JD. I don’t know about this one man. We all know how important image is in the music industry and that alone could let this boy down. His voice is alright though.

  53. co-sign with king mt: see him in person, see how he sounds in the studio and then determine if he’s workable. if not, at least he knows what needs to be worked on and makes a 2nd try at a later time either with you or someone else.
    you never know, he may be a better songwriter than singer or he would be a good fit for background vocals.

    good comparison. lyfe still has a raw sound which works well for him. but i liked his debut album better than the other 2.

(Jokes) but to the matter at hand I think dude is aiiight on the mic (granted the sound quality of the clip isn’t great) you can hear he has vocal range but I can’t tell from that one video if he can really sang. As for as image goes as Ty would say “That Ain’t It” or in Jamaica we say “Dat nuh mek it (that nuh make it!).

    Put it this way I could watch Dondria’s videos from jump and be like “Why the #@%? She Ain’t signed?” I can’t say the same for homie in the clip but wish him success in pursuing a dream in music.

    I think he has a beautiful voice and might just have “it’. As raw talent I think that he did very well, and with your help I think he might just be great. He is a lil cutie pie (not fine but he is a cutie), and I think the younger ladies might really like him and support him if he gets some help.

  77. I think he has potential but he aint ready yet. His pitch was off on too many occasions to ignore, falsetta weak, breathing technique terrible, riffs were not accurate. Seems like he focuses more on articulation than the notes he’s singing. Definitely something their but he needs allot more work before he’s ready for the world.

  78. I’m gonna say that he has some talent. To agree with many Lifers, he does not have the wow factor. That is not to say that he will never have it. It just means he has not groomed himself for a major shot. If you are on the grind daily, for YOUR dream, you make sure you are ready at all times. That was one thing that Eric Benet told me when I was growing up, ” Always be ready to give it your all because you never know who has the power to take you to the next level.” I just don’t think he is giving it his all. I like that someone mentioned Dondria. Now although she was chillin at the crib, you could always see her drive. Young man, please put some clothes on and show what you are really capable of doing.

I watched some this Famous videos on Youtube and most of them are a hot mess because he is just all over the place. It’s a lot better singers on Youtube. I see Debonair73 comments on JD1472 videos all the time. He has a whole channel featuring the best of the best. Most of his picks are pretty good. Quite a few are good enough to get deals. Even did a Best of Best of Usher’s videos on Youtube. Redd Stylez wasn’t that good but the other people were tight.

  210. Can he sing? Yes, is he good? Yes, (well debatable). Is he good enough to make it in the industry? Well while there are worse singers currently out there I would say no. His voice isnt that amazing it sounds similar to other males currently in the industry, with no usp (vocal wise, I’m not talking about dressing him up image wise) he’d probably end up a one hit wonder with 15mins of fame only to sink back into oblivion.
