I like it! Brian Cox did a great job..a real male singing group hasnt been out in awhile, Day 26 with the right material can fit the bill..what they have alot of male singing groups havent had 5 sngers who can also sing lead! I used to love Jagged Edge too when r they coming out with a new one..and Spock yeah New Edition was all that and didnt get enough credit.

The point i was tryna make is there is atleast 2 records like this on every album. they may not be the records that blows up the charts, but they are the records that add depth. Yea you needs hits, but you also need depth. meaning something on the album for everyone. It’s like a DJ playing at your favorite club. If hes Good hes gonnna take you on a ride. might start you off kinda mellow to prepare you for whats to come. then once your nice and warmed up he throws that heat on ya.after awhile hes gotta give u a break so he starts to cool it down again. Calm down. Album fillers doesn’t many anything derogatory. I’m a record producer. Yes, believe it or not, artist, bands, etc… do look for hits, but realize that every song will not have hit potential, and or radio-friendly attractiveness. These are called album fillers.
On their last album, “Co-Star” was hot to me, but it was an album filler.
Its all about making good music. Producers need to make good music, artist need to make good music, labels need to release good music. But politics come into play, and sometimes people make music just to be hits or album fillers, which it shouldn’t be. Just make great art.

ok so on the opinions of it needs to sound more like new edition n so so…the whole meaning of new generation is that they take and learn from the past, but sound like THEMSELVES…this is a Day26 song…not New Edition, Bobby Brown, or watever…and i happen to love how they share leads so its not just one person with all the power…that shyt definately gets to 99.9% of the leaders heads and they break up…EVERYONE in DAY26 have POWERFUL voices which is why Diddy lets them all sing on a track bcuz you can’t leave ANY of their voices dormant…it would NOT be Day26…thats why we love them…because they ALL can sing beautifully on their own..i mean they all have such powerful, moving, beautiful voices…but when you put all that together on a track..its like perfection/heaven…THAT is my response to them sounding like older groups…yea they will get better with tyme, but that doesn’t mean that they aren’t THE SHYT right now…lol…

The point i was tryna make is there is atleast 2 records like this on every album. they may not be the records that blows up the charts, but they are the records that add depth. Yea you needs hits, but you also need depth. meaning something on the album for everyone. It’s like a DJ playing at your favorite club. If hes Good hes gonnna take you on a ride. might start you off kinda mellow to prepare you for whats to come. then once your nice and warmed up he throws that heat on ya.after awhile hes gotta give u a break so he starts to cool it down again. Sure there will probably be people there that could go hard from the jump. but not everyone is like them. you gotta cater to everyone.. This song im willin to bet relates to a lot of dudes out there that have gone threw the same shit. Day26 might sing to females, but this song is about the dudes.
As far as the no albums going Platinum, As JD mentioned in his other post. Things just aint like they use to be. there isnt that extra money to go buy 3 and 4 cds like there was. it might seem like it wouldnt make a difference. but if the hundreds of 1000s of people that are without a job right now were the same people that were normally buying these albums. wouldnt you think that would put a dent in the sales?? oh wait most of them are the same people…………….

B. Cox seems like a producer who likes to make album fillers a lot. Someone has to do it. So why not one of the best RnB producer?
I personally feel though that after the intro, the whole beat could of been hit laced. For me its sound choice, panorama usage, and attractiveness.
But it works for some people, so it works.

I was wrong. I started getting calls about this dude named Pastor Troy that was selling CD’s out the flea market for $17 each and people were buying 2 copies at a time. That nigga shut Master P down. The public is ready to buy, you just have to give them the right Product in the Right Packaging!!

Calm down. Album fillers doesn’t many anything derogatory. I’m a record producer. Yes, believe it or not, artist, bands, etc… do look for hits, but realize that every song will not have hit potential, and or radio-friendly attractiveness. These are called album fillers.
On their last album, “Co-Star” was hot to me, but it was an album filler.
Its all about making good music. Producers need to make good music, artist need to make good music, labels need to release good music. But politics come into play, and sometimes people make music just to be hits or album fillers, which it shouldn’t be. Just make great art.
